Nevegal cheese takes its name from the Nevegal mountains which overlook the city of Belluno, so called because it snows a great deal there (neve is the Italian for snow) in winter.. Nevegal is cylindrical in shape, the bark is soft and pale. The cheese is smooth and creamy, has a sweet taste. This cheese can be served individually or used in the preparation of various dishes because it melts quickly.
